Dedicated to Musical Excellence
General information on the Monday Night Big Band
The Monday Night Big Band, now in our twenty-sixth year in Greater Cincinnati, is one of the region’s premier swing bands. We perform music, often the actual recorded arrangements, from the swing
era of the 30s and 40,s all the way through to the horn bands of the 70’s. From Count Basie to Chicago.
The Monday Night Big band is also very familiar with The Great American Song Book, and great ballads by the likes of the Gershwin, Cole Porter, Frank Loesser, and certainly Rodgers and Hart. Both the
band and our vocalist, Julie Stinchcomb, perform standards with respect, sensitivity, and total professionalism.
Separately, we also do contemporary material, such as some tv themes, contemporary takes on familiar themes, and some pop tunes that the audience enjoys listening or singing along with. We provide
swing music at tempos sure to please dancers of all ages.
The Monday Night Big Band has a growing reputation for providing great swing, listening, and dance music to a variety of groups and a variety of ages. This great swing music is both infectious and
ageless. We boast the largest big band library in the Tri-state area and our eighteen musicians perform it with great swinging enthusiasm.
We have performed all over the Cincinnati area for decades and recently became regulars at Latitudes in Anderson Township, where we are performing for full houses of swing music fans monthly. Monday
Night Big Band regularly performs a wide cross section variety of swing music and we enjoy having a house full of dancers as well as concert fans of this great music.
